Incoming Service Company - company that organizes the incoming of tourists in the tour country, including organization of transfers, excursions and leisure activities

Local Area Network (LAN) - computers joined in one common information space within one or several offices

Online reservation - online tour reservation via the Internet (on tour operator site or on site of other company joining together several tour operators) with AUTOMATIC entry into tour operators’ database (without sending the information to tour operator’s email box)

Application - tour ordered by one customer for a group of tourists (a family, several families, a group of friends, etc.)

Database - set of tables and procedures for the storage and processing of data operated by the software system

Server - specially allocated computer which interacts with user computers over the local area network. Databases and other utility programs (mail, antivirus, etc.) are installed on server. This computer operates off-line

Software system - set of interrelated programs and functions combined for the solution of one application task, used, for example, for automation of tour operator work process

Tour - organized trip to a country or several countries, with a specific itinerary and stay schedule

Tour operator - company engaged in tour formation, tour packages calculation and tour wholesales

Tour package - set of services of various categories (stay, transportation, insurance, visa, excursions, other services), combined within one tour

Transfer - tourist conveyance from one place to another within the tour location, for example, travel from airport to hotel and back, moving from one hotel to another, transportation to the place of excursion

Travel agency - retail tours vendor, an agent company in relations between the tour operator and the tourist

Workstation - workplace of the software system user. The number of workstations is equal to the number of users simultaneously working within the program. At the same time, the program may be installed on an unlimited number of computers
